Our Counsellors
Sue Clough MBACP
Hi, I’m Sue Clough. I have a Diploma in therapeutic counselling and I practice a gentle, person-centred approach to counselling. This means that I view each person as a unique individual with their own story and their own particular challenges and way of seeing the world. I will be working hard to see the world through your eyes and understand what you are feeling. I have a wide range of experience in both online and in-person work. I came to counselling after a career in the hospice movement working with families coping with life-limiting illnesses. My experience of providing bereavement counselling has informed my understanding of identity and attachment to those we love. I have seen and experienced the devastating impact that illness, separation, death and divorce can have on our emotional wellbeing and ability to cope with tasks of everyday life. We all seek unconditional acceptance from each other and the comfort and strength of human connection – this can be yours in the counselling room.
